SENSEable Design’s Dr. Lori C. Walters was the second UCF faculty member hosted by the UCF-associated senior life care community Legacy Point at UCF. As an expert on Cocoa Beach in the 1950s to 1970s, Dr. Walters’ presentation about the development of Cocoa Beach, From the Sands of Cocoa Beach to the Sea of Tranquility, was presented to an audience of over 90 residents. She discussed classic Cocoa Beach businesses that no longer existed, Mayor Robert Murkshe and the landmark Cocoa Beach Glass Bank.

One of the audience members even related to Dr. Walters about how she celebrated a birthday in Ramon’s Rainbow Room atop the Glass Bank. She closed the presentation by giving a preview of her newest project, MemoryScan, by sharing updated renders of the latest Glass Bank model. It was an enjoyable afternoon for all involved.
